What’s the role?

We are looking for recent Law graduates to join our client’s growing team of Case Managers.

This Case Manager role follows legal and regulatory principles in dealing with escalations to the Ombudsman – the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) for claims relating to improperly sold insurance that have been denied by financial institutions.

If you have a background in Legal, and a desire to advocate on behalf of consumers, and deal with the Ombudsman to achieve positive outcomes, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This is a 2 year fixed term contract opportunity to work for a fantastic brand, in a positive team environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Analysing and interpreting information, laws, rulings and regulations to construct detailed written submissions to the Ombudsman.
  • Working with customers and the Ombudsman on complex claims that are being escalated.
  • Managing complex customer case files to resolution, specifically around mis-sold insurance.
  • Working with customers seeking compensation, and delivering positive outcomes.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Graduated with a Law degree within the last 2 years
  • Critical, analytical thinking and writing skills required
  • Genuine interest in Customer Advocacy and Banking
  • High attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
