What’s the role?

Our client Deloitte, the global consultancy and advisory organisation and the world’s largest professional services network, known as one of the ‘Big 4’, is looking for people to assist a high street bank on a collections project to assist those affected by Covid-19.

Location: Working from home. Desktop computers will be provided but you will need a strong WIFI connection

Rate: £23,000 per annum

Shifts:  You will work a variable shift pattern from Monday to Saturday. A typical shift pattern includes one Saturday shift every three weeks and two late shifts per week (up to 8pm). Working hours are between the following times:

  • Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day between 8am to 8pm
  • Saturday – 9am to 5pm

Start dates: Intakes in February & March 2022

End date: Fixed term contract to end of 2023, with possible extension

Training: Full training will be provided by Zoom – Personal Tablet/Laptop will be required for this period

Your day-to-day activities will include

  • Delivering a high level of customer service to vulnerable and non-vulnerable customers
  • Supporting customers in financial difficulties by identifying appropriate arrears and debt management solutions
  • Handling high volumes of inbound and outbound customer calls
  • Completing income and expenditure forms
  • Communicating solutions verbally via phone and in writing
  • Working to deadlines and quality and production targets
  • Working closely with your colleagues and manager, escalating any issues as required
  • Proactively identifying any policy or process gaps, or opportunities to improve the customer experience

What knowledge, skills & experience we need

  • A 2:2 degree or 6 months customer service experience in a corporate or office environment
  • Some previous inbound or outbound telephony experience
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • An empathetic approach to working with vulnerable customers or those in financial difficulties
  • Excellent collaboration and teamworking skills
  • Highly organised and able to meet deadlines
  • You will need to be a self-starter with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to agreed quality and productivity performance standards and targets
  • Any previous collections, debt or arrears management experience would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided
