Our Client, one of the world’s leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm, are seeking Finance Graduates. The Finance Graduate will support either the Credit Derivatives or Foreign Exchange (FX) Operations divisions. Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow. Finance Graduates joining Operations teams will be on the front-line of the division enabling all of the firm’s businesses. This includes taking an active role in the life-cycle of each deal, trade or transaction.

  • Location: Onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Hourly Rate: $20-$25/hr, depending on experience (which if worked full time for a year is the salary equivalent of $41,600-$52,000/yr) **this role is to be paid based on hours worked**
  • Work Pattern: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Length: 12 months with opportunity to extend/permanent hire

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Responsible for daily queue of work processing exception-based trade executions
  • Daily monitoring of outstanding trades covering a wide range of industries and products
  • Support the Trading and Sales desk to assist in the booking, matching and allocation of trades
  • Assist with obtaining legal confirmations on over-the-counter (OTC) trades booked for the Derivatives businesse

What knowledge, skills, and experience we need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 0 – 3 years’ professional experience
  • Operations and financial services knowledge are preferable
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving
  • Prudent in escalating potential risk to the Firm
  • Able to execute day-to-day activities to a high standard
  • Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
