What’s the role?

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Traded Risk Manager to join an exciting project with HSBC Bank in Kowloon. The candidate will support the IBOR transition program within traded risk.

Your day-to-day activities

  • Liaising and guiding change team in the implementation of strategic solution for IBOR program.
  • Assisting in the development and interpretation of aggregate risk reports.
  • Drafting materials for internal governance meetings, maintaining market risk policy.
  • Supporting various GACH areas of responsibility, co-ordinating response to various regular and ad hoc regulatory enquiries.
  • Being involved as market risk and counterparty SME in ongoing and incoming regulatory priorities.
  • Being involved as market risk and counterparty SME in drafting traded risk business requirements.
  • Ensuring counterparty credit risks are identified in a timely fashion, correctly measured, and appropriately escalated.
  • Supporting BAU project activities to ensure the highest level of data quality and integrity for risk management.
  • Complying with regulatory commitments.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Over two years’ experience in either market risk, counterparty risk, or trading.
  • A very strong technical understanding of market risk and counterparty risk calculation and aggregation and models.
  • The ability to interpret complex risk reports from multiple sources and the ability to identify key material risks.
  • An understanding of market risk regulation and incoming regulatory directives.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and to be a team player.
  • The ability to form strong working relationships.
  • Good knowledge of markets products.
  • The ability to understand and interpret complex business requirements.
  • The ability to obtain data from multiple sources, and to link and analyse data.
