What’s the role?

Trade Surveillance is about implementing a surveillance system that monitors and detects activities for market manipulation, fraud, behavioral patterning, and more across all asset classes and all products, thereby ensuring the prevention and investigation of abusive, manipulative, or illegal trading practices in the securities markets.

Skills & Experience required:

  • Excellent understanding of the U.S. or International Banking and Securities industry and experience working with a financial services consulting organization or a large bank; broker-dealer
  • Good knowledge of regulations pertaining to the U.S. or International Banking or Capital Markets Regulators (e.g. SEC, FINRA, FCA, CFTC, EBA etc.)
  • Good Knowledge of financial products across asset classes – Equities, Fixed Income, Currency and Derivatives
  • Broad knowledge of Trade and Market Surveillance, Control Room Surveillance in Capital Markets
  • Good knowledge of Market Manipulation/Market Abuse rules and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with trade surveillance platforms and case management systems, such as NICE Actimize and SMARTS
  • Experience in parameters/thresholds calibration employed for trade surveillance models
  • Strong analytical skills, including the analysis of large amounts of trade data to identify any possible market misconduct or any anomalies and develop controls to mitigate the risk
  • Review of trading activity by identifying high risk behaviors
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
