About the role:
The roles are 12-month contract roles with the view to going permanent, working within a fast-paced environment, and managing complex calls, both inbound and outbound.
As a Collections or Hardship Officer, you will ensure that you work with customers to reduce account arrears and try to ensure credit losses are minimised by providing professional solution-driven collection activities while building and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
- Location: Full-time in the office (Melbourne CBD) for the 8-week training period and then will move to a Hybrid model.
- Rate: $43.71 p/h incl. Super
- Work Pattern: Full time – Monday to Friday – Working on a roster between the hours of 9am-5pm with up to two shifts per week 11am-7pm (once fully trained).

- Duration: 12-month contract – View to go permanent at any time within the 12 months.
Duties:
- High-volume collection calls, assisting our client’s customers who are going through financial distress.
- Engage with customers proactively and empathetically through outbound and inbound calls.
- Negotiate and agree on repayment arrangement plans with clients or their representatives.
Skills & Experience required:
- A background in Collections/Complaints or Hardship positions will be highly desirable.
- Proven ability to understand and empathise with customers, ensuring their concerns are addressed with sensitivity and care.
- Experience with dealing with stressful or challenging situations
- Highly organised with the ability to work as a team player.
- Dedicated and reliable.
- Exceptional communication and listening skills.
