50 of the UK’s most resilient recruiters shortlisted for 2021 TIARA

TALiNT Partners today announces the finalists for the 2021 TALiNT International Annual Recruitment Awards (TIARAs), with 50 of the UK’s best staffing firms shortlisted in 16 award categories.

“This year’s shortlist is the most impressive yet – and the most resilient,” said Alex Evans, Programme Director of TALiNT Partners. “With a combined turnover of £8,410,427,656, and collectively employing 35,473 talented people, the 50 shortlisted staffing firms represent the fifth of the recruitment sector’s total sales and workforce driving transformation and growth.

“We can’t wait to celebrate the crowning achievements of the best in the sector with those who have led success through a challenging and uncertain market – including our latest nominee for the Hall of Fame Award who will be revealed at our live ceremony on 20th October.”

While some of last year’s winners have returned to defend their title – including multiple award winners NES Global Talent, Cpl UK, La Fosse Associates and BRUIN Financial – new challengers for top honours this year include Harvey Nash, Momenta Group, Eden Smith and Venquis.

“It’s great to see so many of the industry’s best brands taking part in the 2021 TIARA Recruitment Awards,” said Chair of Judges Katie Folwell-Davies, Investment Partner at Twenty20 Capital. “These market leading firms are an inspiration to the sector, proving the return on investment in technology and talent to adapt and transform.”

Transformation, the theme of the 2020 TIARA campaign, underpins the theme of resilience for 2021 as the industry’s top performers have demonstrated the best use of technology and training to release the potential of their people and deliver more value to clients and candidates.

“I’ve seen a lot of organisations review and challenge themselves over the last 12 months and right-sizing in terms of headcount, tech and infrastructure, said Jason Martin, Head of Strategy at Access Group, headline partner of the TIARAs and sponsor of the Tech Transformation Award. “We have seen a lot of recruiters grow and perform more efficiently than I suspect they would have done without the pandemic to drive it – so I look forward to judging an impressive shortlist this year.”

The TIARA 2021 campaign is also supported by sponsors including: Twenty20 Capital, Mishcon de Reya, Grant Thornton, Clearwater International, 6CATS International, Fore:Two Group, Saffery Champness, Odro, Parasol Group, Gambit Corporate Finance, VacancySoft, PurePro, Blackwood Capital, Zeel Solutions and Sonovate.

The TIARA judging panel is distinguished by some of the industry’s leading executives, NEDs and chairmen, including Giles Daubeney, Former Deputy CEO of Robert Walters; Miles Hunt, Chairman of Cobalt; and Gary Elden OBE, former CEO of SThree. Judges bringing a new perspective on leadership, D&I and employee engagement include Prof Emma Parry, Head of Changing World of Work at Cranfield School of Management, Claire Holness, Global Head of TA at Ericsson, and Phil Lewis, Founder of Corporate Punk.

Following the government announcement that all social distancing and Covid related restrictions will be lifted in England from the 19th July, the TIARA Recruitment Agency Awards Ceremony will take place in person at a Gala Dinner for 500+ leaders at The Brewery in London on Wednesday 20th October.
