Financial Crime Project
The task
Momenta were tasked to resource for 20 Financial Crime Analysts within 5 working days for a client. This was the initial request from a new client and the expectation was to fulfil these roles quickly and to ensure that they could all commence on the same day to enable training.
The solution
Due to the compressed timescales of this project, Momenta were required to source, interview and assess possible candidates according to the client’s specifications.
Momenta worked against the following challenges:
- A rapid turnaround from receiving the request and ensuring a supply of candidates could start within 5 working days.
- Understanding the market availability of people who were suitably experienced and qualified, with appropriate capability and skill sets. Despite a limited prior experience of working with this client, we delivered a pool of exceptional candidates.
- Fast-tracked the vetting process to enable and then achieve an efficient onboarding in the short timeframes.
- Momenta had recently been established in Australia only several months prior to this request and at that stage was establishing our market credibility to compete with other suppliers. Substantial time was invested in both creating and expanding key relationships with candidates – and working closely with them to gain their full commitment to the role and the project.
The outcome
Since the first placement of the initial team and due to the successful delivery of the project, Momenta has been retained as a preferred supplier for the client’s BAU operations, and has to date supplied a concurrent team of 250 people, working in roles across Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions High-Risk Customer, and CDD/EDD. The success and completion of the initial short-term project allowed Momenta to continue to be utilised as the trusted resource vendor, supplying the client with the best possible candidates in the shortest time scales, whilst conducting all interviewing, vetting and HR responsibilities for the client.
