What’s the role? 

Our client, a major retail bank, are seeking KYC Analysts to join a team of contractors who will support on a range of key initiatives. The ideal candidates will be responsible for conducting reviews in line with client policy to fulfil KYC requirements. Candidates will be expected to deliver against productivity and quality targets, managing your own pipeline and taking on board feedback.

Responsibilities: 

  • Performing KYC due diligence on new-onboardings, remediation and / or periodic reviews
  • Review of the existing policy and procedures to identify new requirements, top ups or renewal of information/documentation held on file
  • Gathering and analysing KYC documentation in accordance with the Clients policy requirements to identify risks associated with the client, and assess overall risk
  • Sourcing of data from approved public sources using the methods outlined in policies and procedures.
  • Construction of KYC files with the required information and documentation in accordance with the policy
  • Completing a risk assessment and determining the KYC risk classification of each entity and the country it is associated with
  • Escalation to the appropriate teams where information cannot be sourced or provided or where prior exceptions have been granted on existing files
  • Communicating with clients and their clients to obtain information and documentation required to complete KYC/EDD reviews.
  • Conducting screening checks using third party tools to identify Sanctions, PEPs, and Adverse Media in relation to the entities and related parties within the portfolio’s and subject to current screening policies and procedures

Essential skills & experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within Financial Crime
  • Proven experience of EDD File Build, Source of Wealth and Source of Funds
  • Dealt with high, medium and low risk customers and/or businesses
  • Experience using external research tools such as online search engines, Companies House & Lexis Nexis Bridger, along with in-house systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, both verbally and written.
